How to Grow Apricot
It takes 3 to 4 years to mature and fruit. Apricot are grown from the seeds however transplanting young trees is best for commercial production.
The seeds are dormant so soak them in water for a full day. Then place in peat moss, paper towels and moist sand. The next step is to place in a plastic bag and refrigerated for 30 days.

How to grow Apricots from Seed
Eat the fruit and save the pit, scrub the flesh and allow dry for several hours. Use a hammer or nut cracker to crack the pits side. This is to remove the seeds inside the pit.
It is possible to plant the pit however germination would take a considerable time. Dry the retrieved seeds for a few hours, wrap in damp paper towel then store in plastic bag and refrigerate.
Leave them in the refrigerator for 2 months. Once roots start appearing the plant in 4 inch pot filled with potting soil. The seedlings require adequate sunlight to grow.
