How to Identify Abondance Cattle Breed

The origins of Abondance cattle is traced to Haute-Savole, France. Breed by monks in Chablais in Haute-Savole since the 12th century there are over 150,000 to 200,000 head in France. This breed of cattle was known as Chablaisienne and you find crossbred ones in West Africa.
Description
The medium sized animal has a golden brown color with a distinctive white head. Other areas that exhibit white coloration are the legs and abdomen region. The eye region is same brown color as the trunk.
The cow weighs between 600 to 700 kilograms while the bull is between 650 and 810 kilograms. A mature female stands 1.4meters while the male stands 1.7 meters tall. Abondance cattle have small outwards growing short horns.

Use
The mixed race cattle is specially adapted for milk production. It produces rich milk suitable for cheese production and milk. It also provides good quantity of meat.

The Abondance cattle is known for its longevity and ability to withstand extreme conditions. The top producer of the cattle is France and exported too many regions. It is found in south Africa, Iraq, north America, new Zealand and united kingdom.
