Not everyone has adequate space to breed livestock. However breeding miniature livestock requires little space.
They are as capable of producing meat, eggs or milk like their larger counterparts. The good part is they require less feed and space to produce. Here are a miniature livestock farm list.
The Narragansett is found in Rhode Island of United States of America. Named after the Narragansett Bay the turkey has beautiful plumage and cross between wild and domestic fowl.
The bird features striking color variants of white, gray and black. Like most turkeys its neck is red and head a light bluish color. The turkey is ideal for egg or meat production and weighs 22 pounds. The bird is an ideal farm animal, good forager and it eats a variety of food.
Nigerian Dwarf Goat
The Nigerian dwarf goat is a diminutive goat with height 20 inches. They generally weight from 70 to 75 pounds are rugged and hardy animals. They have soft coats, medium hair of black, white or grey. They are ideal farm animals and good milk/meat producers.
The Babydoll Southdown Sheep is found in North America. It is diminutive with minute horns/hornless with height 22 inches. It has grey or whitish fleece and adorable look. The sheep has a good disposition, good forager and sometimes raised as pets.
There are many small sized chickens in the world. One notable one is the Welsummer chicken. It weighs less than 7 pounds and a perfect egg laying machine.
If you provide layers feed the chicken would lay an egg a day. The eggs are usually reddish brown in color. The bird has dark brown or reddish feathers and a docile temperament.
If you don’t have adequate space on your land you can consider miniature cattle. Common miniature cattle’s are Lowlines, Miniature Herefords, Dexter’s and Miniature Jerseys. Some are less than 900 pounds and 43 inches at the shoulder. Despite their small size they produce good quantity of milk and high quality meat.

This English pig is a hardy breed. It weighs 600 pounds, excellent forager and good flavored meat. It has black and white legs and dark black skin. This old breed has been around since 1875.
The petit goat reaches a height of 22 inches and weighs 70 pounds. It is an excellent milk producer and ideal for cheese making. The goat has a 5 month gestation period and good breeder. The goat is full of energy and despite the size very athletic.
